Though not an eyewitness of Christ's life, he diligently gathered information from the Apostles and wrote his Gospel and the Book of Acts. Saint Luke shared the shipwreck and perils of Saint Paul's voyage to Rome, and was with him in his last days. He later died a martyr's death in Achaia.
